Michelle Yeoh Motion Graphics
A motion graphics project telling the story of Michelle Yeoh, the first Asian to receive the Academy Award for Best Actress.

Duration: 12 weeks Team: Independent project Tools: Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Overview
It was my first time using Adobe After Effects to create a motion graphics video. I chose Michelle Yeoh as my hero character because her journey from being an action movie hero to an Oscar winner at the age of 60 is incredible and touching. The hard work and true efforts she put into films and acting have been seen internationally which is why she can succeed. I wanted to tell the story of how she became the first Asian to receive the Academy Award for Best Actress.
Deliverables

To inspire actors and actresses of any age by telling Michelle Yeoh’s journey in acting

Actors, actresses, filmmakers, and film lovers. Focusing on Asian actors and actresses who want to start their acting career in Hollywood
Storyboarding

Prepare graphics in Adobe Illustrator
I spent most of my time using the pen tool in Illustrator to design and produce graphics. To make the animation smooth when I imported files into After Effects, I made sure to build layers when creating them.
